You probably know that books feature prominently in my life, so (like last year) I’ve signed up with World Book Night so that I can share that passion and help spread a love of reading. I’m hoping to be one of 20,000 people chosen to give away 24 copies of my chosen book: Touching the Void by Joe Simpson, on April 23 to people who don’t regularly read. Last year I was one of 20,000 chosen to give away 40 copies of a novel by my favourite Latin American author, Gabriel García Márquez. The deadline to apply to be a giver this year is January 31 and you can apply as well or find out more by following this link http://bit.ly/beaWBNgiver

I am hoping to be chosen as well. This will be my spa’s charity for the month of APRIL. Give a book. Love it!
World Book Night is such a great event.
Touching the Void, awesome book – the film was something special too
That is a great book
I’ve never heard of an event like this – please tell me more – I am going to suggest something like this for the American Association of University Women’s annual book club sale in Ann Arbor. Thanks for passing this information on.
….they have recently linked up with the US, where there will also be a World Book Night on the same day, April 23rd. Check out this link: http://www.worldbooknight.org/about-world-book-night/international/wbn-2012-usa. Why not apply to be a giver?
