Riding the churches……

Another dimension to riding a bike (or the tandem, in our case)……riding the churches of the local benefice, in the company of friends from the village………IMAG2008

…..doors to these historic buildings left open and a warm welcome with refreshments inside. Not only are these buildings a capsule of the religious past and present, but they also give us a unique insight into the heart and soul of a community. We have a singularly rich heritage in this country that is worth preserving.

Hello Frank,Joe Tasker’s sister Mary here I came across your interesting blog when I as on the Boardman Tasker site it was good to read,my son is a keen cyclist he was born in that fateful year of 82! I hope all is well with you and your family.Seeing your name jogged my memory of you and Joe.I am going to Kendal for the BT award with some of my family so I will remember you to them.

    • Good to hear from you, Mary. Joe continues to be a constant in my life….. most recently a picture of him on the wall of a climbing club bunkhouse in Snowdonia….. where I was cycling with a group of friends. I will send you a PM.
